The Khmer people in the Mekong Delta province of Soc Trang are eager to enjoy the Ooc Om Boc Festival to be held from November 23 to 24.
The annual festival, the largest and most important event of the Khmer people, will feature an exhibition on the Ooc Om Boc Festival, trade promotion activities as well as other cultural and sports activities, said Lam Hung Kien, Director of the province’s Department of Tourism and Trade.
Visitors will also have a chance to cheer the traditional Ngo boat race, which has been recognised as a national sport event.
Around 50 teams from Soc Trang and neighbouring provinces have registered to attend the race.
